Water Baptism Statements
Made by Peter Philip & Paul
What was the instruction from the Lord Jesus to the disciples concerning baptism?
Jesus said; "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and
of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." Matthew 28:19
How did His disciples understand this instruction?
What Peter said; "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the
remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:38
What Philip did; (for as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the
name of the Lord Jesus." Acts 8:16
What Peter did again; "And he commanded them to be baptized in the nameof the Lord....."
*What Paul did; "When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus."
*Note: Paul wrote to the Galatians (1:11-12) and said; "For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ." The it he mentioned in this verse is in reference to The Gospel Galatians 1:6-11. Lord Jesus revealed to Paul all things concerning the gospel, no man taught it to him. AND one of the revelations taught to Paul by the Lord Jesus was water baptism, you can see how he baptized believers!
"Should you and I do the same? ... Of course!"
