Popular Christian Bibles come from Greek translations of Hebrew and Aramaic texts.  The AENT comes directly from Aramaic, the language spoken by Y’shua (Jesus)followers.

Authenticity of an Aramaic original is validated in Greek transliterations

with names and terms such as “Abba” (Father), “Keefa” (Peter),

Golgotha, Gabbatha, Bar Tolmay (Bartholomew) and hundreds of

Aramaic words.  According to Acts 1:19 the common language of Y’shua

(Jesus) and His people was Aramaic.  “Everyone in Jerusalem heard

about this, so they called that field in their language Khagel-Dema

(Akeldama), that is, Field of Blood.” (Acts 1:19)  Akeldama is a Greek

transliteration of Khagel-Dema, an Aramaic term, “in their language.”
